The Lake County Children's Council, in partnership with numerous Lake County agencies and organizations, hope to celebrate April - Child Abuse Prevention Month with multiple events throughout our community.
When you think of "Child Abuse Prevention" we would like you to think about how your positive encounters with children in our community can help negate the effects of neglect or abuse that someone may be suffering. It's that easy. It only takes 1 positive connection to change a child's life.

Pinwheel Garden Challenge
The Pinwheel Garden Challenge will run from April 1, 2025 - April 30, 2025. Show your support for Lake County children by planting your pinwheel garden.

Child Advocacy Walk and Festival
There will be a Children's Advocacy Walk and Festival this year for Child Abuse Prevention Month in Lakeport and Clearlake. Booths will be set up to provide free goodies, resources, education, prizes and surprises!
