Citizenship Classes
Registration is now open and FREE for the Citizenship Classes!
This course will help you learn how to become a citizen, support you in filling out the N-400 application, and prepare you for the written Civics Test and Citizenship Interview. The class will be taught in English, with supplemental support available in Spanish.
Class Times: Monday Nights, 5:00 - 7:00 PM, starting January 27, 2025. Drop-ins are welcome
Class Location: Lake County Campus of Woodland Community College, 15880 Dam Rd Ext, Clearlake, CA 95422
Qualifications: Students must be at least 18 years of age and know basic English.
Eligibility: To be eligible for United States Citizenship and eligible to participate in this class, you must meet the following criteria:
- Be at least 18 years of age or older.
- Have basic ability in reading, writing, and speaking English.
- Have authorization to live and work in the U.S. on a permanent basis (known as a green card) for at least five years, or three years because you are married to a U.S. Citizen.
- Have had continuous residence in the U.S. for at least five years and have been physically present in the U.S. for at least 2.5 of those years, OR are married to a U.S. citizen and have had continuous residence in the U.S. for at least 3 years and have been physically present in the U.S. for at least 1.5 years.
The class will be taught in English, with supplemental support available in Spanish.
