Lake County needs teachers.

There has been recent news regarding a national, state-wide, and local teacher shortage. The number of teachers has declined due to teacher retirement.

If you have a bachelor’s degree, the Lake County Office of Education can help you begin your teaching career.

You can earn your teaching credential through our local accredited Teach Lake County program.

You can also begin by substitute teaching to see if it’s the right fit. The state of California is currently offering those who are interested in becoming a substitute teacher a credential fee waiver.
