Construction Corps

The North Bay Construction Corps, a construction career exploration opportunity and basic skills training program, is now accepting applications! The program spans across 14 weeks, beginning in January and ending in May.

High school seniors in their last semester are encouraged to apply. Participants will earn college credit, industry certifications, and develop work-ready skills. Classes meet one evening per week and one Saturday per month.

The deadline for application submissions is Wednesday, December 9, 2020.

You can apply online at the North Bay Construction Corps website.

Due to COVID-19, the program may be delivered partially or completely virtual this coming year. During the summer there is a week-long "Boot Camp" where students are invited to work on a real construction project.

The North Bay Construction Corps is dedicated to providing a pipeline directly to employment in the construction industry. This program offers almost 20 different sample curriculum and certifications.

The Lake County Office of Education is grateful to the North Coast Builders Exchange for bringing this opportunity to Lake County. There are Chapters in five counties: Sonoma, Mendocino, Napa, Lake and Marin.

The 2020-21 school year will be the fifth for the NBCC program, and the third year in Lake County. The past two years the Lake County Chapter has included students from nearly every Lake County high school.
