Power Shutoff

UPDATED TUESDAY, OCTOBER 21, 2019 11:00 AM

If the Lake County Office of Education facilities are affected by a PG&E Public Safety Power Shutoff, they will still remain open to provide critical services during regular business hours, with limited staff.

All LCOE Early Connections Preschools will follow the lead of the district where their facility is located. (i.e. if Konoct Unified School District has closed, Burns Valley Preschool and East Lake Preschools will be closed.)

Please check in with your individual school district for the most-up-to-date information on school closures. Most local districts are saying that if they have no power at 6 AM in the morning, there will be no school that day. Please check with your individual school district, though.

Students attending the Clearlake Creativity School will have school if the Konocti Unified School District (KUSD) is open. If KUSD is not open, Clearlake Creativity School will be closed.

Students attending Hance Community School will have school if the Kelseyville Unified School District (KVUSD) is open. If KVUSD is not open, Hance Community School will be closed.

Students attending the LCOE Medical Assistant course will have class if there is power at the Hance Community School facility. If there is no power at the Hance Community School Facility, there will no class. Please check your FB group for the most up-to-date information.

All trainings located at LCOE facilities will be postponed, if the facility is without power. You will be notified of the new dates, or you can check our website calendar.

We will post updates on our Lake County Office of Education Facebook page, when needed.
