Attendance Challenge!

The 3rd Annual Lake County Attendance Challenge is sponsored by Habematolel Pomo of Upper Lake and administered by the Lake County Office of Education.

After Week 1 of the 2019 - 2020 Attendance Challenge in each category.

Lake County State Preschools:

  1. East Lake Preschool
  2. Middletown Preschool
  3. Kelseyville Preschool

Lake County Elementary Schools:

  1. Riviera Elementary School (Kelseyville USD)*
  2. Minnie Cannon Elementary School (Middletown USD)
  3. Upper Lake Elementary School (Upper Lake USD)

*Highest attendance rate for all Lake County schools for Week 1.

Lake County Middle Schools:

  1. Mountain Vista Middle School (Kelseyville USD)
  2. Upper Lake Middle School (Upper Lake USD)
  3. Middletown Middle School (Middletown USD)

Lake County High Schools:

  1. Clear Lake High School (Lakeport USD)

Lake County School District Leader Board:

  1. Middletown USD- 97.33%
  2. Upper Lake USD- 97.11%
  3. Lucerne Elem USD- 96.46%

Total County Stats:

  • 41 schools with reported data
  • Includes state preschools, K-12, public charter and Alt Ed schools
  • 49,184 enrolled students (duplicate count for the week)
  • 46,413 students in attendance (duplicate count for the week)
  • 94.336% Average Attendance Rate

The Lake County Attendance Challenge is a friendly competition between all public school districts throughout Lake County to promote the importance of school attendance.   

The challenge is part of the Lake County Office of Education "Count Us In! Attendance Matters awareness campaign and a stepping stone to promote the conversation about the importance of attending school each and every day.  

Each winner will receive the coveted “Attendance Challenge Winners” banner and a donation from the Habematolel Pomo of Upper Lake for the amount of $500.
