WorkAbility Curriculum
Upon completion of the WorkAbility Curriculum in 9th or 10th grade:
- A teacher can refer a student for a paid job placement in the community in their field of interest or for a career exploration.
- Priority is given to 11th and 12th graders but a motivated student can have an opportunity to work if in the 10th grade.
- WorkAbility will talk to employers, job development and place the students in a paid work experience.
- The program pays the California minimum wage and covers worker's compensations as the employer.
