Music
Incorporating music into your lesson is a great way to teach students. It brings a fun, exciting and different approach to the lesson plan.
Here we have put together various songs from our Music sessions that you can incorporate in your classroom. Each Music session video features a different song with respective movements, plus brief references along the way to share how the relationship established within the experience stabilizes and prepares the brain for cognitive processing.
Each song reinforces English Language Patterns and Reading Readiness through integrating neurological systems that regulate or balance the learning brain for accessing and processing cognitive input.
The songs are performed by Retired Educator Martha Miller. Mrs. Miller has worked with preschool to high school students at Konocti Unified School District both as a classroom teacher and music specialist.
She additionally worked with adult participants as a presenter for a University of California Sacramento World Music Day, several Lake County Office of Education music presentations, and as Music Therapist for the residential facility, Crestwood Behavior Institute in Angwin, California where within a single music experience, she repeatedly observed the physical, facial, and verbal effect of the music experience!
