Teacher of the Year

The Lake County Office of Education participates in the California Teacher of the Year (TOY) Program.

We are proud of our Lake County teachers and the innovative and exciting work they do with our students.

The 2026 Lake County Teacher of the Year is Taylor Tiraterra, Social Science Teacher at Middletown High School in the Middletown Unified School District.

2026 District Teachers of the Year include:

• Michelle Raabe | Third Grade Teacher | Lakeport Elementary School | Lakeport Unified School District
• Crystal Lee | Eighth Grade Teacher | Upper Lake Middle School | Upper Lake Unified School District

The 2025 Lake County Teacher of the Year was Michael Zeni, Agricultural Mechanics Teacher, for the Kelseyville Unified School District.
