Astronomy Club

  • Go where no student has gone before!

Astronomy Club explores the universe through virtual missions.

Our missions start close to home in close space around the Earth, Moon, and Sun then expand to the fartherst reaches of space by the end of the school year.

The club meets every other Thursday from 4:00 PM to 5 PM and is open for all students from 4th to 12th grade.

Astronomy Club is lead by Angelo Parisi, the operator of the Taylor Observatory in Kelseyville, CA.

All missions will be delivered via Google Classroom. There are 1- 2 missions per month and follow-up debrief meetings with your Commander, Angelo Parisi via Google.

Students will only need a computer and WiFi to participate in the club. Other household items may be needed to complete missions such as tape, glue and paper.

The club will keep its members informed of what is happening in the night sky, contain an “Ask the Astronomer” feature and provide lists of the best astronomy apps and websites.

Once you register on eventbrite, you will be emailed a Parent Permission Slip and a Google Classroom invitation to join the club.
