The 38th Annual California Academic Decathlon is fast approaching. The topic of the 2018-2019 competition is The 1960s: A Transformational Decade. The Academic Decathlon encourages and rewards academic excellence by motivating and preparing students through competitive events. This year three schools will compete in Lake County.
In addition to competing in the standard California Academic Decathlon, Lake County students are invited to compete in a poster and poetry competition. This local competition is conducted in partnership with the Lake County Arts Council. Winning entries are displayed at the Lake County Office of Education and awarded cash prizes.
Please consider volunteering to judge this amazing event. We will be looking for approximately 60 volunteers on January 26, 2019.
