    Facebook Fundraiser Event

From now until December 13, 2020 the Office of Education is partnering with the Dolly Parton Imagination Library in a special Facebook fundraiser.

All funds raised will go directly to Lake County. We are looking to raise $10,000 this year to build childhood literacy.

Please consider giving to Imagination Library on our Facebook fundraiser.

The Lake County Office of Education is proud to administer Dolly Parton's Imagination Library program in Lake County, California.

Dolly Parton’s Imagination Library is a book gifting program that mails free, high-quality books to children from birth until their 5th birthday, no matter their family’s income.

In an effort to improve early literacy for Lake County’s children and help prepare them for kindergarten, the Lake County Office of Education began participating in Dolly Parton’s Imagination Library in 2012.  This program has grown to provide books to over 2,250 Lake County children annually.

Although the books from Imagination Library are free for the children, there is an associated cost to the Lake County Office of Education of $25 per child, per year.  Administered by the Lake County Office of Education, this program is funded by donations from local businesses, community organizations and individuals.  We are thankful to our current major donors First 5 Lake, Adventist Health Clearlake, Charlotte Griswold, and the Lake County Wine Alliance.

To register your children for free books, please visit the Imagination Library website.

Visit the Imagination Library website to donate and type in "Lake County Office of Education" when prompted to insert an affiliate name for the donation.
