Lake Science Collaborative

The Learning Activities through Kelseyville’s Exemplary Science Collaborative (LAKE Science Collaborative) was formed when Kelseyville Unified School District received a California Mathematics and Science Partnership Grant (CaMSP) in January 2007. The purpose of this grant is to increase the academic achievement of students (grades four through sixth) in science by enhancing the content knowledge and teaching skills of classroom teachers in Lake County through professional learning activities. Teachers from almost every district in Lake County are participating in this project.

The first year’s focus of this three-year grant was Earth Science. Therefore, the lessons in Earth Science for grade four, five, and six are already on the LAKE Science Collaborative Website. A variety of links to websites that focus on Earth Science have been provided.

Lessons in Life Science will not be on the website until summer of 2009 and lessons in Physical Science will be uploaded in the summer of 2010.
