Lake County Truancy Reduction Program
The Lake County Office of Education, in partnership with Lake County School Districts, support the efforts of the truancy reduction program by providing three truancy investigators to work with all schools, the parents of truant students, and especially the children who are subject to compulsory full-time attendance. The County Office facilitates the School Attendance Review Board (SARB), and hearings weekly at alternating locations in Lake County to accommodate the families and districts in our large geographical area. The intent of the SARB hearing is to assist families in finding solutions to reduce the habitual truancy of the student.
