GED Testing Program
GED (General Education Development) testing is administered by the Lake County Office of Education. Tests are available in English and Spanish. A test fee is charged for the administration and scoring of the test. The test is comprised of 5 sections. Each section costs $40 or $200 when all 5 tests are paid for in advance. To schedule appointments, call (707)350-5985. Students MUST register and pay at least 10 working days in advance.
If you took the GED before 2001 and are looking for a transcript of your scores, please send $15 along with your name, birthdate, mailing address and the last year in which you completed any section of the test. You may either mail this information with payment to LCOE c/o CTE Department or visit our office at 1152 So. Main St., Lakeport, CA.
If you took the GED after 2001 and are looking for a transcript you must contact the state office at ETS-GED Records Center, PO Box 4005 Concord, CA 94524-4005 or by calling 866-370-4740.
***PLEASE NOTE: NOVEMBER 1, 2013 WILL BE THE LAST DAY FOR NEW EXAMINEES FOR THE 2013 TEST YEAR.***
We are coming to the close of the 2002 GED Testing Series; therefore Lake County Office of Education (LCOE) has decided that November 1, 2013 will be the last date that new examinees will be able to sign up and begin his or her testing process. There are only four test dates left in this year. Space is limited to 25, (first come, first serve basis and the seats fill up fast). Current examinees will need to finish all five tests before the end of 2013.

***Starting in 2014, there will be a new GED test. ALL TEST SCORES WILL EXPIRE IF THE TEST IS NOT COMPLETED AND PASSED BY THE END OF 2013.***
Getting ready to take a test or just need a way to improve your skills in mathematics, reading and/or writing? Regardless of what test you are getting ready to take, this workshop will assess your strengths and develop a plan to improve your weaknesses. We will develop individual plans that address your specific needs.
