Child Development Programs
The Lake County Office of Education, Child Development Division offers quality preschool programs for children ages 4 years through 5 years of age and after-school programs for children in grades kindergarten through sixth grade. Our state preschools are called Early Connection Programs, serving 340 preschoolers daily. Our after-school programs are called Kid Connection Programs, and we currently provide services for 380 after-school children on a daily basis. The Child Development Early Connection program is funded by the California Department of Education, and the Kid Connection program is funded through a grant from California Department of Education known as ASES, After School Education and Safety.
