Lake County Quality Care Counts

LAKE COUNTY, CA (February 6, 2018) – Registration has opened for the 2018 Lake County Quality Care Counts, early care and education professionals conference, to be held on March 3, 2018 in Clearlake, California. This year’s theme is “Nurturing Young Creative Thinkers.”

This conference is being hosted by the Lake County Office of Education and the Lake County Child Planning Council, and is open to all people who are involved in or interested in early childhood education.

Rebecca Isbell, PhD, is the Keynote Speaker. Dr. Isbell is an early childhood consultant and professor emerita of early childhood education at East Tennessee State University. She has authored numerous books and articles and presents on topics related to young children, creative thinking, storytelling, and the creative arts. Her most recent book is entitled, “Nurturing Creativity: An Essential Mindset for Young Children’s Learning.” Her keynote topic is “Nurturing Young Create Thinkers.”

The location of this year’s conference is the Lake County Campus at Woodland Community College. The keynote address will take place at the Cornelison Event Center at the Konocti Education Center, located within walking distance.

Registration is free. Each registrant will be asked to choose one (1) morning and one (1) afternoon breakout session, in order to complete their registration for the conference. Registrants are encouraged to read the description of each break out session carefully. That information can be found on Eventbrite.

A light breakfast and lunch will be provided. There will be raffle prizes and Professional Growth hours can be earned for attendance.
