Certified Nurse Assistant (CNA) Program

CNA classes starting August 8, 2018

The Lake County Office of Education’s Career & College Readiness Department offers a course designed to train you to become a Certified Nurse Assistant (CNA).  Under the supervision of a health professional, usually a licensed nurse, a CNA provides basic nursing services to ensure the safety, comfort, personal hygiene, and protection of patients/residents in a licensed long-term, intermediate health care facility or hospital. Upon successful completion of the Certified Nurse Assistant course, graduates receive a certificate of completion and are eligible to take the state certification exam.

In order to be considered for admission to the Certified Nurse Assistant Program your completed application packet & $150 cash deposit must be submitted in person to Tammy Serpa at the Lake County Office of Education located at 1152 So. Main Street in Lakeport. Applications will be received by appointment only. Call now to schedule an appointment. Space is limited to 15 students. Sorry, we do not take payments.

A portion of the cost associated with this program has been paid by the Adult Education Block Grant of California in order to reduce the course fee for students.

Classroom hours will be held at the Hance Education Center located at 1510 Argonaut Rd in Lakeport. Clinical hours will be held at Rocky Point Care Center located at 625 16th St in Lakeport.  DO NOT CONTACT ROCKY POINT DIRECTLY.
